Call for Nominations – Sid Turner Award

Please submit your nominations for the Sid Turner award before March 1st. Award to be presented at the Members General Meeting in April.

Add a Picture of Your Boat to Your Profile

At the suggestion of our Communications Director, Joseph, I have added “Boat Image” to a member’s profile. The image will appear on the boat detail popup.

Log on to the web site (you already are if you are reading this).
Choose “Edit Profile” – usually top right where it says “Howdy {member name}.”
At the very bottom, after Spouse, there is a new entry “Boat Image.”
Click on Browse and choose a file from your computer. Keep it small. 2 MB is the upload limit and it will be displayed max. 300 x 300.
Click on “Update User.”

If you already have an image of your boat as your profile picture, consider making that your “Boat Image” and upload a portrait. We display your profile picture on the member detail popup.

My GYC / My Profile

As a logged in member you can view a summary of all of the data Membership and Mooring have stored on you and your boat. Just navigate to My GYC and click on the My Profile button.
The page has been enhanced to warn you if your insurance is expired or if you have a boat at the club but don’t have the requisite two emergency contacts.

It also lists the committees that you serve on (according to Membership’s records).

You can manage your own contact details, email address, phone numbers, etc.

If anything is missing or incorrect, please contact Membership or Mooring.

Application for Full Membership

There is currently one application pending for full membership (to the “B” list) in the club. Further to Article 2.2d) and e) of the club By-laws, Rules and Regulations, notice of an application is to be made on this website and the Clubhouse Bulletin Board for a minimum of 30 days. Members may communicate to the membership committee (membership@georgianyachtclub.com) or the Board prior to the June 6th 2022 Board meeting any relevant information a Member may possess regarding the applicant.

Mike Noble and his wife Liz, hope to bring in their 30’Doral “Our Freedom 35” to the club.
