Sad News: Bert Porter Passed Away

DEAR GYC MEMBERS,

It is with great sadness that I share the news that recently resigned member: Bert Porter passed away on Wednesday morning, March 28, 2018.

On behalf of the GYC Board of Directors, I would like to extend sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Bert during this very difficult time.

Full Member Application

There is a new application for full membership (to the “B” list) in the club.  Further to Article 2.2 d) and e) of the Club By-laws, Rules and Regulations notice of an application is to be made on this website and the Clubhouse Bulletin Board for a minimum of 30 days.  Members may communicate to the membership committee (membership@georgianyachtclub.com) or the Board, prior to the May 7th Board meeting any relevant information a Member may possess regarding the applicant.

Ralph Suke of East Linton has been an Associate member for a number of years.  Ralph has a Niagara 26 sailboat.

Louise Johnsen of Pt. Elgin, and sponsored by Terry Ferenczy and Tom England, was approved as an Associate member at the December 4, 2017 Board meeting.  Louise plans to bring a J24 sailboat into the club.

Brad Beitz of Chesley, and sponsored by Brad Brainard and Mark Chester, was approved as an Associate member at the October 2, 2017 Board meeting.  Brad has a 22′ Sea Ray.

Paul Livingston of Owen Sound and sponsored by Murray Arnold and Joe Fryer, was approved as an Associate member at the October 2, 2017 Board meeting.  Paul has Doral 25′ power boat.
