White Cloud Spring Cleanup 2023

Three vessels made the trip to White Cloud Island on Sunday June 4th. Big thanks to the members that helped out. Harry and Irene Hartrick, Dave and Cathy Sykes, Ed Griffith, Brad Findlay and new committee member Scott Caple.

The crew performed tasks like cleaning picnic tables, delivering firewood, installing signage, and collecting legacy trash.

Announcements

  1. There will be a power outage on Nov 10, possibly extending into 11th    Roadway access at North gate will be blocked for the work of replacing an underground hydro cable.
  2. The winterizing for all of the water systems, except the clubhouse, will be completed as of Nov 12.
  3. Reminder of that the Security Alarm System is now active. Please reach out to Steve Furness, for an access code and introduction to the procedure, if you will be entering the property during the night. 519-379-3200.
  4. The Board of Directors is working hard on your behalf during the off-season and will be accessing a new boating association to support the club in issues of governance, policies and procedures. More to follow.

  Reminders

  1. Members must raise Dock skirts to 1 foot above the water by Nov 16th.
  2. Please include raising your Dock Ladders to also avoid ice damage.
  3. Boats must be unplugged after Nov 16th or cord tagged with the date while charging, for only 48hours per charge.
  4. Ladders to your boats must be locked.
  5. Please ensure that all debris is removed from around the work site of your stored vessel. to ensure that the snowplow has clear access.
  6. Insurance for your vessel is always required while on the property.
  7. If you encounter any breach of security on the property or your vessel, please report immediately to the Board.
