GYC Covid-19 update

Dear GYC members,

Please follow the recommendations from Health Canada to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

Stay home, practice physical distancing, and don’t have gatherings of more than 5 people

Please remember the club is restricted to members only. The clubhouse kitchen is currently closed.

Launch will be delayed.  There will be more information after our board meeting on Monday, April 6th.

Stay safe, stay healthy.

GYC CPR Course Date

Given the current concerns around COVID-19, we are tentatively re-scheduling this event to Saturday, April 25th. If you are interested in participating please let me know.

Tentative date: Saturday, April 25, 2020
Time 8:30-4:00
Cost: $110 per person. This includes the instructor fees as well as the Red Cross e-registration and e-certificate.
Location: Georgian Yacht Club
If you are interested in attending please let me know!
If we get enough people attending it is possible we could offer a second date.

GYC First Aid

Launch Meeting

The 2020 launch meeting will take place on Saturday, April 4th, at 9am at the clubhouse.

It is especially important to attend if you will not be able to attend the launch of your own boat.

We’re Hiring!

The Georgian Yacht Club is looking to fill a Fixed term, Part-time position as Fuel Dock Attendant and General Grounds Maintenance Staff. 

Reporting to the Fuel Dock Director, the Fuel Dock Attendant is responsible for dispensing fuel to boats in a safe manner. Fuel handling certification and training will be provided. General grounds maintenance duties include lawn cutting and trimming.

Candidates must be available starting in May 2020 through October 2020.  Gas Dock hours are Monday & Friday 17:00-20:00, and Saturday 8:30-12:00
