Fuel Dock and Pump out News

The Board of Directors has regretfully accepted the resignation of Director, Roger Martindill and thank him for his work in preparing the fuel dock and meeting with the Committee on April 30th regarding Safety and Fuel concerns. We wish him a good summer sailing. 

The Board would like to announce the appointment of Steve Rouse as a Director. Steve will serve as the new director of Fuel Dock and Safety. Welcome Steve.  We trust that the committee will provide you with full support as we move into our active season. 

The Fuel dock will be open for pumping fuel starting Saturday May 14th at 8:00 am. 

The pump out will be started up Sat 14th May and available only whenever the Fuel Dock is open until the water pipe is replaced. It is self serve. 

Winter Preparation

Dear GYC Members

There are still a number of dock skirts down, ladders in the water etc. Please make sure you get your dock prepared for winter, and unplug your power cords.

As per our By-Laws

R17.  Fender Skirts must be lifted or adjusted to one foot or higher above the water by the Third Wednesday of November.

R45.  All boats must be unplugged by the Third Wednesday of November or the cord tagged with the date while charging (48 hours maximum per charge).

Waterline work – volunteers needed

Dear GYC Members, 

There will be two more work parties to continue working on the waterlines at the club. 

The first is Saturday, September 28th after the Haul Out meeting until noon. 

The second is Saturday, October 5th, starting at 9am. 

Please bring shovels and rakes.

PUMP OUT WORKING AGAIN

Hi fellow members,

We replaced 3 faulty solenoid valves and Jamie Harrison repaired a safety valve on our vacuum pump system and it appears to be functioning again!  I remind everybody to flush the system for a few minutes when you are done your pump out ( hose in the lake ) .  Thanks.
