Hi All, I will be out of the country from October 9th to the 19th. So I need to take down my mast sometime next week, 2nd to 7th. Is anyone else planning to do theirs in that time? 22′ MiYotie usually goes very quickly.
This post is just to make sure that members who use the search feature find the correct date 😉 Also, I modified the calendar entry. It was set as “Annually on May 6th.” I made it a “does not repeat” since it moves around.
Launch will be starting at 8 AM starting with the small crane starting at Tom Chambers boat (the big trimaran Chambros Two by the south gate) and working clockwise around the west basin. Trailered boats will be launched after lunch from the North basin and can be brought in after the large crane moves.
Large crane will start in front of the club house at 8AM and work around to the gas docks. Alan Marshes boat will be launched from in front of the club house. Please no parking out front of the clubhouse area up to the mast rack until these boats are launched. Large crane will start after lunch at the old gas dock.
We are continuing with the launch crews again. The crane operators found it worked much better and was safer having the same crews working together. Remember to be there approximately 1/2 ahead of time and make sure your boat is ready go, 30ft line on bow and stern and fenders set.
More to follow later in the week. Big crane AM Captain Jason Payne

Attached is a copy of the schedule and mapping for haul out.
Please note we STILL NEED HELPERS to fill in on some of the crews.
Arrive at least 30-45 minutes ahead of your haul out time. (Those at 8 am should arrive 07:40 am).
Remember that haul out can get ahead of schedule, or behind schedule, so please be patient and ready to go when you’re called in.
Fenders, lines, and sling pads must be in place by Friday evening. You must have a bow and a stern line at least 30’ long. Please lead them down so they are accessible from the ground.
Our major contact to you will be your cell phone and preferably by text, otherwise a cell call. Please make sure your cell phone is up to date on the list of captains and boats. Please call Becky 519-373-6101 by Thursday at the latest with correct cell phone so the list can be updated. If you have another member hauling your boat out please notify us by e-mail. If you have no cell phone, then tell us that too.
Please park outside the property, as near your assigned gate as possible.
We require members to wear a mask to protect your selves and your fellow club members and the crane crew. Please bring your own mask if possible.
Once your boat is Hauled, keep you distance and you can work on your boat.
For all question or if you can volunteer, please contact Mike Forcier
mike@greybrucelaw.ca or his office at 519-372-0722. If there is a problem during Haul Out you can also reach Mike at 519-372-5960.
The Haul Out Meeting will beheld Saturday, October 2nd at 9am in the picnic shelter.
Attending the meeting is especially important if this is your first haul out with the club, or if you have any special requests or requirements. If you cannot attend the meeting please contact Mike Forcier.
Cradle moving is Saturday October 16th at 9 am.
Haul out is scheduled for Friday October 22nd for the old gas dock, and Saturday October 23rd starting at 8am for the rest of the club.
In light of some members preferring to break down their cradles after their boat has launched, we are noting that you are permitted to break your cradle down after your boat has launched, or later in the day, but to PLEASE BE MINDFUL of how many people are around you.
Maintain a safe physical distance, wear your masks, use your common sense. If there are other people in your area, consider coming back later. We are doing our best to limit the number of people on the property at once and are trying to adhere to public health guidelines. Please do your part.
There are crews organized for each crane in the morning as well as the afternoon. The schedule is being finalized and will be e-mail to all members shortly. This keeps our numbers down on the property, keeps everyone safer and keeps us within the rules at this unprecedented time. Thank-you for understanding. The Board is trying to do its best.
