Dear GYC Members,

For those of you who missed out last year, we have the opportunity to run a Canadian Red Cross First Aid course again this spring.

Tentative date: Saturday, March 21st, 2020

Time 8:30-4:00

Cost: $110 per person. This includes the instructor fees as well as the Red Cross e-registration and e-certificate. 

Location: Georgian Yacht Club

If you are interested in attending please let me know!

If this date does not work for you, please indicate if March 28th, 29th, or April 11th would.

If we get enough people attending it is possible we could offer a second date.

The Georgian Yacht Club is looking to fill a Fixed term, Part-time position as Fuel Dock Attendant and General Grounds Maintenance Staff. 

Reporting to the Fuel Dock Director, the Fuel Dock Attendant is responsible for dispensing fuel to boats in a safe manner. Fuel handling certification and training will be provided. General grounds maintenance duties include lawn cutting and trimming.

Candidates must be available starting in May 2020 through October 2020.  Gas Dock hours are Monday & Friday 17:00-20:00, and Saturday 8:30-12:00

Dear GYC Members,

As per club by-laws, members are required to have their boats unplugged by the Third Wednesday of November or the cord tagged with the date while charging (48 hours maximum per charge). (R45)

Members are also expected to have lifted/adjusted their fender skirts to a be a foot or higher above the water. (R17)

We appreciate you helping to keep our club safe and protecting our shared property from damages!

Join us for Trivia Night on Friday, November 8, Happy Hour at 5:00 pm, Dinner at 6:00 with Trivia to follow at 7:00.

Join us for an entertaining evening that will tap your knowledge of popular culture, boating and the GYC.  Teams of six will be organized from those attending.
