*INVOICES for 2021****

The invoices, for the Full Members, for the 2021 Membership Year have been sent out by email, over the past several days.

If you have not seen your invoice then please check your Junk email or spam folder. If you located it there, then please put the invoicing email address into your Contacts, so that it will go directly to your In-Box, next time.

If still not there, then please check with Brian MacIntosh at invoicing@georgianyachtclub.com

All members who have requested over the past few years, to receive their invoice by postal mail will continue to do so.   Invoices for Associates will soon follow.

Oct 31st is the end of the membership year and the beginning of the new invoicing cycle.

As always, it is extremely helpful when the member informs us of all changes from the usual routine of your Storage, Haulout and Launch at  invoicing@georgianyachtclub.com

It is also much appreciated, when you inform us of your intention to not renew your membership, or to release your dock, prior to mid-October of every year. Thank-you.

A great big thank-you to Brian who has taken on the creation of all of the invoices for the club members!

Brian is a member of the Treasurer Committee and works closely with the Treasurer, Peter Struthers.

Reminder for you to still send any E-transfer payments to the treasurer@georgianyachtclub.com Payments are due Nov 30th.

On a side note: Please send all correspondence, for the club, to secretary@georgianyachtclub.com, then your email can be forwarded to the corresponding Directors/and Commodore.  This includes all requests, complaints AND complements!  The secretary communicates with the Board members directly, including at the meetings, as well as maintaining the record of all those communications. Good or bad.

After all, I need something to do!!

Open door for any questions or suggestions,

GYC Haul Out Details

Dear GYC Members,

We need to comply with Provincial guidelines for Covid-19 during this haul out season. We need to practise physical distancing when possible, and masks must be worn if you are unable to adhere to physical distancing.

There will be no lunch offered. Please bring your own coffee/beverage and lunch.

We are going to have 5 work crews to haul the boats out. 1 crew on Friday and 4 crews on Saturday. Each crew is made up of 8 members, and if something changes please let me know. The crane operator said with a set crew doing a shift, things move much more smoothly and more safely, so we are now using this system.  There is a Haul Out Crew List attached.

There is also a Haul Out Details document attached indicating how to get your boat ready.

We also have a schedule of the approximate time you will be hauled out (Haul Out Approximate Times document attached)  . We ask you to be at your boat 1 hour before haul out and ensure the lines are ready, your sling marks are in place, and the cradle or jack stands are ready. This year if you have jack stand you will  need to make wooden plywood bases at least 3 feet by 3 feet to distribute the weight of the stand. If you are one of the very heavy boats, 4 feet by 4 feet maybe be required.

There is also a 5 page Mapping Document of the club. Please check your location and make sure your cradle, jack stands and/or trailer are in that location .  If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
